Does New York City have any annual events?
Here in Montreal, every summer we have a Jazz Festival & this year a new Francophone Festival was just started. I really like being around Festivals, with different types of artists, indie or major. I always wanted to move to New York City & I still do one day, but my question is, do they have any annual festivals or certain activities people participate in every year?
Allow me to be blunt, but after that car bomb that didn’t detonate in Times Square, all I can picture is yet another person trying the same thing…

Definitely, there are tons of events and festivals in NYC all year around. In Manhattan alone there are alot of them that even go into the winter months.

We have several music events every summer. Some of the more popular series include Summerstage, Celebrate Brooklyn, BAM R&B Festival, River to River Festival and J&R Jazz concerts. Most of these events are free or request a small donation. Give them $5 and you’re a hero.
